Anyway, I also have a question for everyone else! I think I might be getting close to being ready for my first Gym Battle! I'm kind of nervous, though. I know Falkner uses Flying Types, so Kaze, my Pidgey, is out. and I have Yuuko, who's a bred Vulpix at level 11 with Will O' Wisp and Flamethrower, Dii-chan, who's level 12 with Pound, Growl, Refresh, and Double Slap, and Hashi, who's a bred Piplup and level 10, with Agility, Growl, Pound, and Bubble.

Do you think that'll be enough, or should I train a little more? I have a Ledyba, but Bug types are weak against Flying, and I got myself a Shinx from the Breeding Centre, but it'll still have to hatch. I can try and catch something around here, too...

I mean, this is like an opening day. I want to be as ready as I can be, you know?

There were girls applying from all over the galaxy - I didn't even think I'd pass the first round! Making it to the second round was a big deal, and then only seven of us wound up passing that. It's good, though - as much as all of them are my rivals, they're also my friends. We push each other to do better.

From all over the galaxy? Sounds even bigger than the intercolonial auditions and tournaments some companies have. I hope for your sake that the rest of them will have the chance to join you here for a group trip.

I'm hoping so! Chieri's here with me now. Sonata and Makoto were here for a little while before all those glitches started, but they had to go back home, I guess. But it's okay! We'll all see each other again one day. I'm sure of it.

You definitely will. I mean, if people can be taken from any time, they'd have to be sent back to the same place or else others would realize they're missing, right?

I hadn't thought of it that way, but you're right. They'd have to notice, so it means we definitely go back one day. It's just more reason to keep smiling and keep my head up!

And if you're lucky, you might even find a way to bring your Pokémon back with you and introduce them to all your friends.

Oh, I hope so! The girls would love them - mine and Chieri's, both! And I'd hate to have to leave them. They're friends, too.

They'd make excellent bodyguards for a rising star, too.

The way Dii-chan loves music, I think she'd want to try to get onto the stage.

You could try a duet or six. I bet your fans would love that.

She's always up for them! I think sometimes she sings louder than I do.

It's not surprising. Some Pokémon have sound-based attacks, so they'd need powerful voices to use them.

It doesn't really surprise me, either. She's got sensitive hearing, so it makes sense that it would go both ways.

I've learned so much from everyone. It's pretty amazing...

Everyone does seem surprisingly willing to assist each other. You'd think there would be more of a competition, since we're all supposed to share a few goals.

You know, Captain, even competitors don't have to be mean. Chieri's my best friend, but she's also my biggest rival. She pushes me to do better and shine brighter at things, and I do the same for her, but we both come out better for it, and better friends, too.

Of course. Best friends are the world's natural rivals, after all.

But still, you'd think a few people would care so little for this that they'd try to sabotage everyone else.
