Anyway, I also have a question for everyone else! I think I might be getting close to being ready for my first Gym Battle! I'm kind of nervous, though. I know Falkner uses Flying Types, so Kaze, my Pidgey, is out. and I have Yuuko, who's a bred Vulpix at level 11 with Will O' Wisp and Flamethrower, Dii-chan, who's level 12 with Pound, Growl, Refresh, and Double Slap, and Hashi, who's a bred Piplup and level 10, with Agility, Growl, Pound, and Bubble.

Do you think that'll be enough, or should I train a little more? I have a Ledyba, but Bug types are weak against Flying, and I got myself a Shinx from the Breeding Centre, but it'll still have to hatch. I can try and catch something around here, too...

I mean, this is like an opening day. I want to be as ready as I can be, you know?

I'm working on one right now. Like I said, Yuuko - my Vulpix - has Flamethrower and Will O'Wisp, and if I can inflict Burn, I'm sure that'll help. Mayuyu - my Shinx, if she's a girl - is here, too, but just in case, I'm going to catch a Mareep, for a Electric type. A few of my Pokemon have Growl, and that lowers Defense, and Hashi - my Piplup - has Agility and Bubble. Dii-chan herself has DoubleSlap now, which is pretty powerful for a Normal Type, and she's pretty strong!

Mareep should have the Static ability, which will paralyze the opponent if they attack. So that's a very good choice. Burn and Poison would be good too, just in case. A rock type will also have an advantage.

Hmm...rock type, and something with poison...I can probably look around Route 36, no? By now, that should be okay, and I can just come back here if I need to...

Goldenrod and Celadon. If you ask nicely, someone will supply you with one. It's how I got a hold of some evolutionary stones.

The Breeding Centre's in Goldenrod, isn't it? I deal with them some, so I wonder if I can ask someone affiliated with them if they'd mind picking it up for me if I paid extra the next time I get an egg.
